EA was founded in Fayetteville, NC in 1992. The owner is a disabled combat veteran who had previously worked for Dominion Power as an interface design engineer and served a stint, as an officer, in the U.S. Marine Corps and as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army. In 1996 the company was incorporated and moved to Augusta, GA. Shortly thereafter EA established satellite offices in Florida and Virginia. EA’s services, with the exception of a few value-added services, have not changed since its inception. Despite several attempts, by energy companies, to acquire EA (the most prominent being the vaulted giant Enron) or to contractually obligate EA as their energy broker, our company has resisted these relationships and remains unilateral energy brokers for our clients. In this way, our integrity and commitment, to our clients, remains unwavering. In the 1990’s EA participated, as an educator, in the movement to deregulate the electric industry. Part of this effort included speeches, on the issue, by our President and participation in forums.  in the 1990's, as a result of the deregulation movement electric companies downsized (streamlining their workforce) as they positioned themselves to operate in a competitive market. During this period EA was approached by power companies to consult them on customer relationships. However, EA again rejected these offers for fear of a conflict of interest between its clients and the power companies, thereby electing to again remain unilaterally committed as our client's energy consultant. For over a quarter century, EA has developed highly sought after (copyrighted) software programs that are instrumental in discovering and implementing the millions of dollars in refunds and savings achieved for our clients over the years. In 1999, EA, already active throughout the U.S., expanded its energy management operations to include international audits. Today, EA has established itself as one of the premier providers of energy consulting services.
